Location: Remote, must be local to the Washington, DC area

Position Description:

Indev is seeking a Sr. Software Developer to join our elite application development team. You will play a pivotal role with migrating current on-premises technology to the cloud, all while embracing the Agile mindset to foster innovation and rapid adaptation. Your experience and expertise will be focused on Angular front-end development and providing backend support. This role ensures that the application is scalable, secure, and aligned with PHMSA's operational needs.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software applications on cloud-based solutions.

• Collaborate with Program Manager, Business Analyst, and other team members to ensure the application meets all requirements.

• Implement best practices for secure and scalable software development within an Agile/DevSecOps framework.

• Write and maintain detailed documentation for the application's architecture, code, and dependencies.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

• Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure the application meets performance, security, and compliance standards.

• Address any defects, bugs, or enhancements identified during the warranty period, ensuring uninterrupted service.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 8+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years of specialized experience in Angular and AWS

• Proven experience in system design, development, and deployment in large-scale IT environments.

• Proficient with building applications using Angular and AWS services.

• Strong knowledge of Agile development and DevOps practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide effective solutions.

• Exceptional communication skills to work seamlessly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have s:

• Experience working in a Federal environment, preferably Department of Transportation

• Active Public Trust clearance

• Agile certification (e.g., Certified Scrum Master)
