Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, automation, and a deep understanding of Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and Bamboo. As an SDET, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software solutions by designing, developing, and executing automated test frameworks and strategies tailored for Atlassian product testing.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements, workflows, and integration points for Atlassian products.

Design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable automated test frameworks for Atlassian product testing.

Develop and execute test cases, scripts, and plans for functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.

Perform exploratory testing to identify edge cases and potential vulnerabilities in Atlassian product implementations.

Monitor and analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.

Ensure seamless integration of Atlassian tools within the CI/CD pipeline and automate workflows for testing.

Stay updated on new features, updates, and best practices for Atlassian products to refine testing strategies.

Maintain documentation for test plans, frameworks, and processes to ensure clarity and repeatability.

Advocate for quality assurance and testing best practices within the team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience as an SDET or QA engineer with a focus on automation testing.

Hands-on experience with Atlassian products such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo, etc.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Java for developing test scripts.

Expertise in automation tools and frameworks like Selenium and Junit.

Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman or RestAssured.

Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.

Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or Gatling.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

Experience in testing plugins or custom integrations for Atlassian products.

ISTQB or other relevant certifications in software testing.
