Job Details

Role: Network Security Engineer

Location: Little Rock, AR (hybrid)

Duration: Full-time / W2

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and document network security requirements
  • Assist in implementing Microsegmentation solutions using Akamai's Guardicore Micro-segmentation zero trust
  • Resolve technical issues on Guardicore micro-segmentation, Zero Trust product, analyze security policies, and access controls
  • Assist in implementing network security solutions, including firewalls
  • Configure, and optimize firewall policies and rules
  • Configure dynamic routing protocols including RIP, OSPF, and BGP
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve network security issues

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in network security engineering
  • Hands-on experience configuring firewalls such as Palo Alto, Check Point, Cisco, and Fortinet
  • Experience with dynamic routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP)
  • Familiarity with network segmentation and microsegmentation concepts is a plus.
  • Knowledge of network security concepts, protocols, tools, and best practices
  • Proficient with monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to network security incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing remediation actions.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
