Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Director to lead the Maternal Child Health department at a major healthcare organization in San Jose, CA. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in Labor & Delivery, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a passion for delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a dynamic hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for Maternal Child Health services, including Labor & Delivery and related units.
- Ensure excellence in patient safety, quality outcomes, and compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, and performance management for nursing teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on patient experience, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and executive leadership to achieve departmental and hospital goals.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Master s degree required.
- Licensure: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in patient care delivery.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing operational or project budgets.
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership role with direct reports.
- Background: Maternal Child Health and Labor & Delivery experience required.
