Role: IT Operations Engineer/Systems Administrator
Location: Downtown, NJ (5 Days onsite)
JD:
As an IT Operations Engineer, you will ensure the reliability and performance of our on-
premise and hybrid IT environments. You ll manage Windows Server, Active Directory,
Office 365, and related infrastructure while supporting end-user needs, incident
resolution, and automation of routine IT tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, and Office 365
environments
Manage user provisioning, group policies, permissions, and access controls
Monitor and troubleshoot server, network, and application issues
Automate routine IT operations using PowerShell and other scripting tools
Support incident response and collaborate with other IT teams for issue
resolution
Implement and manage patching and basic system hardening for Windows
environments
Maintain IT documentation, inventory, and ITSM workflows (Jira, ServiceNow)
Assist with basic cloud integration tasks (e.g., Office 365, hybrid identity, IAM)
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
3+ years of IT operations or systems administration experience
Strong expertise with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and IIS
Experience with Office 365 administration
PowerShell scripting for automation and administration
Familiarity with network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls)
Basic understanding of ITSM/incident management processes
Nice-to-Have
Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments
Familiarity with Linux systems (basic troubleshooting)
Awareness of basic security best practices (patching, MFA, IAM)
Knowledge of compliance frameworks like ISO 27001, SOC2
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Clear communicator with both technical and non-technical teams
Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset
Able to handle multiple priorities and respond effectively during incidents
Detail-oriented with a focus on operational reliability
Education & Certifications
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent
experience
Preferred certifications (not required):
o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
o Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
o CompTIA Network+ or Security+
