World Wide Technology is looking for a Network Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and support our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in LAN/WAN technologies, firewalls, and routing/switching, with a strong focus on performance, security, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure.
  • Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, and VPNs.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot, and resolve connectivity issues.
  • Ensure network security and compliance with internal policies.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to support upgrades, migrations, and strategic projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering.
  • Proficiency with Cisco, Fortinet, or similar enterprise networking hardware.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG).
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP) preferred.
