Contract Type: Long-Term Contract (Extension Based on Performance)
Our customer is seeking a dedicated Desktop Analyst for a long-term contract role with the potential for extension based on performance. This is a break/fix support role in a manufacturing environment, requiring comfort with working on ladders and scissor lifts.
The IT Plant Support Analyst will provide hands-on technical support at plant locations, ensuring the performance, availability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure. This role is critical in maintaining uptime and supporting plant operations, while also contributing to global IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site support for hardware, phones, and other IT-related issues.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to workstations, servers, networking equipment, and plant-connected devices.
  • Perform installations, upgrades, and repairs on IT-supported hardware and software.
  • Maintain clear communication with plant partners during issue resolution and system outages.
  • Use the Service Management tool to log, track, and update support tickets.
  • Roll out new IT processes, hardware, and software at the plant level.
  • Collaborate with contractors and engineers to ensure compliance with IT policies.
  • Participate in or lead small to medium-sized IT projects using enterprise project management tools.
  • Provide 24/7 support coverage as needed for the assigned plant or region.
  • Document plant support processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills:
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
  • Experience with Active Directory, SCCM, Office 365, and network support.
  • Familiarity with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling.
  • Ability to work safely on ladders and scissor lifts in a manufacturing setting.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 to 2 years of IT support experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to analyze support trends and recommend improvements.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with global IT teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
