The Reentry Systems Engineering Associate Manager will be responsible for technical management, planning (Cost/Schedule), resource deployment/alignment, and staffing for the Systems Engineering group within the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Reentry Systems Engineering and Transformation organization.
As Reentry Systems Engineering Associate Manager, you will:
Manage the Multi-disciplined Systems Engineering organization under the direction of the Reentry Systems Engineering & Transformation L5 Manager and Reentry Deputy Chief Systems Engineer
Coordinate with Reentry Systems Engineering & Transformation L5 Manager and program leadership to identify, plan and execute Reentry Systems Engineering activities across the FBM Reentry Directorate
This position requires substantial coordination across multiple organizations including various design disciplines, flight sciences, FBM Missile SEIT, contracts, F&BO, other organizations within the Reentry directorate, as well as the SP28 customer.
Serve as the backup and provide support to the Reentry Systems Engineering & Transformation L5 Manager and Reentry Deputy Chief Systems Engineer in areas such as staffing, resource planning, Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, budget tracking, and other leadership activities.
The organization is distributed between Denver CO, Valley Forge, PA and the Space Coast in Florida. Travel between sites will be required (Approx. <20%)
Typical experience is 9+ years technical systems engineering experience or demonstrated equivalent job experience OR 7+ years technical experience and a Master's degree
Basic Qualifications
Technical Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field from an accredited college
Experience in systems engineering lifecycle & understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors
Experience with Project management, including planning & budgets
Demonstrated leadership of team of 5+ engineers
Active Secret clearance with ability to obtain & maintain a Top Secret clearance
Desired skills
FBM Program Knowledge and experience working with US Navy
Communicating/coordinating program issues/status to customers, contractors and/or upper management.
Resolving technical challenges requiring integration with cross-functional teams.
Ability to meet or exceed individual/team deliverable deadlines.
Experience with leading and mentoring a team of engineers of varying experience
Experience throughout the Systems Engineering Lifecycle, knowledgeable about the Systems Engineering 'V'
Requirements definition and tool experience (i.e., Concept of Operations (CONOPs), requirements documentation, interface requirement drawings/documents, DOORS, etc.)
Ability to support multiple programs and teams at once
Program management experience such as project planning, scheduling, cost estimates/budgeting, ROI and/or cost avoidance estimation
Staffing experience including workforce planning (Vemo tool experience a plus) and interviewing candidates
Positive demeanor, accountable and responsible and able to work in a team-focused, dynamic environment
Experience with Systems Security Engineering (Cyber Security, Anti Tamper, Asymmetric Threat Vulnerability Management, Hardware/Software Assurance, Supply Chain Security)

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
