Description

SAIC seeks an experienced and energetic Systems Administrator Analyst to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission . The overarching purpose of the program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. This position is located in Vandenberg, CA or in Cape Canaveral, FL.

Job Description:
  • Oversee the execution of security measures called out in the security plan to include timely scans of network resources and software patches.
  • Provide effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of production Linux Servers in a VMWare Virtualized Environment.
  • Apply DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems.
  • Responsible for daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources and log management of Linux and Windows systems.
  • Troubleshooting and performing root cause analysis. This includes troubleshooting any and all issues with system configurations, backups, files systems, and user access.
  • Support RHEL platforms hosting applications, operations and sustainment systems, and ACAS and other security tools
  • Interface with engineers, systems engineers, and subject matter experts
  • Troubleshoot hardware, networking and software problems in multi-node environment
  • Act as on-call support for network issues and data transmittal issues
  • Ability to use automation software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment functionality.
  • Create and maintain software documentation and updates
  • Work with a highly technical team to perform evaluation tests

Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelors and two (2) years or more experience; Masters and 0 years related experience


Required Experience:
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Experience in a Systems Administrator role
  • Applicant must have experience with the application of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to operating systems and network devices.
  • Experience with Current versions of Windows (e.g. Server 2019, 2022, Windows 10, 11 Enterprise).
  • Experience with PKI implementation/infrastructure.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server products.
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory.
