Job Details

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Electrification Engineer for an opportunity with one of our premier clients in Oshkosh, WI .

The Sr Engineer - Electrification designs functional, reliable and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle high voltage electrical systems. Performs engineering analysis and electrical design or re-design, and development of electrical systems and subsystems into existing and new vehicles. Provides integration and execution support for vehicle control and embedded systems development.

YOUR IMPACT:

Under supervision, perform engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks as assigned according to Client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
Support more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods, and/or reporting.
Responsible for a project or part of a project of limited complexity.
May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
Responsible for design and integration of electrical components and circuitry into heavy duty vehicles.
Support more senior engineers in the preparation of accurate calculations, analysis and investigation according to client as well as general industry engineering standards and processes.
Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot or production builds, including resolution of problems in manufacturing.
Participate in one or more projects of limited complexity.
May be responsible for managing multiple projects.
Collaborate as needed with other engineering or business support disciplines internally as well as suppliers externally.
Provide guidance or mentorship to entry level engineers, designers, or technicians working on a common project.
Other duties as assigned.
Regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field with three (3) or more years of related experience.

STANDOUT QUALIFICATIONS:
Accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
Familiarity with programming languages and controls software.
Familiarity with Controller Area Network (CAN)/SAE J1939 protocol.
Automotive High Voltage Training/Certification(s).
Power Electronics and Machines familiarity.
Energy Storage system familiarity.
