SQL DBA --- Contract (Hybrid)

Position Title: Database Administrator Lead (MySQL DBA)
Position Location: Hybrid 3 days in office, 2 remote
Most preferred - Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Second preferred - Strongsville, OH 44136
All other locations - Birmingham, AL 35233; Farmers Branch, TX 75234; Phoenix AZ 85016.

Technical Skills: (6+ years)
Complete Understanding of MySQL s underlying storage engines
Significant Knowledge of MySQL version 8.x and new features
Knowledge of Automated Failover Solutions for MySQL
Knowledge of TDE (At Rest Encryption)
Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL
Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
Strong knowledge of ODBC/JDBC client/server communication
Significant Automation experience with shell and SQL scripting

Analytical skills necessary to perform troubleshooting of errors and performance issues
Strong verbal and written communication skills
