Network Engineer - Prestigious Global Research Org - Relocation Assistance

Position Description:
- Lead small-to-medium projects and technology implementations, network engineering and design tactical solutions as assigned.
- Utilize expertise in day-to-day work for data, voice and LAN/WAN and AV environments.
- Provide level 3 assistance for technical staff, including the diagnosing and troubleshooting of systems networking, hardware and software problems.
- Assess integrity of data, voice and LAN/WAN networks. Identify problems, determine solutions and ensure implementation.
- Evaluate and recommend new or enhanced network hardware and software systems/technologies and network designs for maximum functionality, security, and minimal cost.
- Provide expertise, mentoring and training to various functional departments and individuals in relation to network voice or data applications and systems.
Requirements:
- Proven successful experience working in a role planning, designing, implementing, administering, and troubleshooting LAN/WAN/WLAN environments.
- Experience in leading technical projects and solving problems in a matrix environment desired.
- Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus: Microsoft M365, AWS/Azure cloud, DoD Classified Environments, SD-WAN, IaaS/PaaS, datacenter to cloud transition, Cisco DNA, Cisco Wireless Cisco Nexus , Cisco routers, Cisco ISE as well as BGP and OSPF.
- Current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) is required; Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) or Cisco Certified Architect (CCA) is preferred.
- Security+ certification is required, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional () is desired.
- BS degree in computer science or engineering preferred.

- Must meet eligibility requirements for access to U.S. government classified information
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS Fitness required.
