Overview

The IT Applications Service Delivery Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and support of software applications and services to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Service Delivery Management:
  • Oversee the delivery of IT application services, ensuring they meet the agreed-upon SLAs.
  • Monitor and report on service performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Ensure effective incident, problem, and change management processes are in place.

Team Management:
  • Lead and manage a team of IT professionals (direct or 3rd party), including hiring, training, and performance evaluation for direct employees.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration within the team.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure effective service delivery.

Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders regarding IT application service delivery.
  • Understand business requirements and ensure that IT services align with these needs.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing regular updates on service performance and improvement initiatives.

Process Improvement:
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT application services.
  • Utilize industry best practices and frameworks such as ITIL to drive improvements.
  • Conduct regular service reviews and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Project Management:
  • Manage projects related to IT applications, including new implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Vendor Management:
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

MUST-HAVES:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT solution architecture and 3 years of team management experience is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex business problems and design effective technology solutions, are required.
