CAD Technician Onsite Infrastructure Project

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically proficient CAD Technician to join our onsite project team supporting a major infrastructure initiative. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing as-built drawings, design revisions, and construction submittals, working closely with engineers, field staff, and QC personnel.

This is a hands-on, onsite role requiring strong technical skills and close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Develop and update as-built drawings based on field markups and redlines.

  • Create and revise construction drawings, layouts, and plans using AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred).

  • Assist in preparing and formatting technical submittals for client or regulatory approval.

  • Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and client requirements.

  • Maintain an organized drawing/document repository.

  • Coordinate with field engineers, surveyors, and inspectors to capture real-time updates.

  • Provide CAD support during project coordination meetings.

  • 2+ years of experience as a CAD Technician in construction or infrastructure projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.

  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, or MEP drawings.

  • Familiarity with as-built documentation processes.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.

  • Must be able to work independently onsite with minimal supervision.

  • Experience on DOT, USACE, or public infrastructure projects.

  • Understanding of construction workflows, submittals, and project documentation.

  • Previous experience supporting field or design/build teams.
