SAIC is seeking an IT Support Specialist (Tier 1) for a future program. Work will be performed on site in Bremerton, WA.
The IT Support Specialist will support the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) Program. This is a unique opportunity for those passionate about advancing the U.S. Navy's critical maintenance and operational capabilities. At the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, you will excel in a dynamic environment, supporting national security needs and contributing to advancements in digital networking technologies, disaster recovery operations, encryption, and comprehensive IT infrastructure (ITIL). Additionally, you'll play a key role in refining engineering solutions, enhancing cloud-based infrastructure services, and developing new tools and processes to further the US Navy's operational effectiveness.
This position is contingent upon award, anticipated announcement in Fall 2025.
Overview: You will provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for computer hardware, software, network, system/application access, and telecommunications systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with customer service, a strong technical aptitude, and the ability to manage and resolve technical issues efficiently. This role requires handling inquiries through telephone or self-service ticketing systems, diagnosing problems using historical database records, and maintaining updated records. This position involves coordinating with higher-level support when necessary and ensuring compliance and documentation for IT systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide Tier 1 support and manage password resets, account creation, and PIN support
Support IT infrastructure setup, delivery, repair, inventory, and lifecycle management
Utilize NMCI and local tools for service delivery and deploy NMCI DSTB systems
Maintain accurate knowledge base, compliance documentation, and conduct customer satisfaction surveys
Resolve service and incident tickets and ensure CMDNet device compliance with IAVM/IAVAs
Develop and deploy software/fix task sequences across the network
Manage software maintenance renewals/licensing and support DoN Application and DADMS repository
Qualifications
Clearance Requirements:
Active Top Secret security clearance required

Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of an Associate's degree in Information Technology field
Four (4) years' experience in: Desktop support and system administration, Administration of VDI for end users, IT peripheral troubleshooting and configuration, & Windows server administration
NMCI (Navy Marine Corps Intranet) experience
Required Certification:
CompTIA Security+
Location: Must live in the local area, or be willing to relocate at the time of award (Note: No relocation funds are available)
