BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $69,000 and $120,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Wealth Services Platform team. This role is in Jersey City NJ.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Software Development (55%): Develop, test and deploy scalable, resilient full-stack applications by leveraging relevant technologies, while upholding security, efficiency, and regulatory compliance across the development lifecycle.
- System Design and Documentation (15%): Participate in system design, reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and maintain relevant documentation to support the requirements and solutions.
- Lifecyle Management (15%): Maintain software throughout its lifecycle, by developing validation and troubleshooting procedures, performing timely upgrades, to meet compliance and client service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaboration & Teamwork (10%) Collaborate with cross-functional teams, promoting technological standards, and sharing knowledge through meetups and forums.
- Continuous Learning (5%): Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends by attending enterprise learning events and participating in ongoing skills development initiatives.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, 2-6 years of experience in software development required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in both frontend and backend development using technologies such as:
- Core technology: Java, Angular, Spring, Microservices
- Secondary: HTML, JSON, JavaScript, NodeJS, CSS
- Enterprise Integration frameworks like Camel, Microservices, Containerization and Cloud architecture.
- Strong proficiency in messaging technologies such as MQ and Kafka.
- Strong understanding of relational and document databases, security principles, and architecture design.
- Good exposure to DevOps toolsets like Git, Sonar and Jenkins, and Agile developmental practices.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
