Job Description:
JOB TITLE: Senior System Engineering
REMOTE TYPE: Office Worker
JOB LOCATION: 2900 W Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75075
DUTIES: Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution (consisting of platform, network, software, cloud, etc.) through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Elaborate the design and interfaces for specific components including defining subsystems and their interfaces, allocating responsibilities to subsystems, understanding solution deployment, and communicating requirements for interactions with solution context. Align development teams to a shared technical direction and partner with those teams in elaborating the Solution and its interfaces. Validate technology assumptions and evaluate implementation alternatives. Establish critical NFRs at the solution level and participate in the definition of others. Create and enable the Continuous Delivery Pipeline including participating in planning, definition, and high-level design of the system solution and exploring alternatives. Develop the Architectural Runway in support of new business Features and Capabilities. Work with portfolio stakeholders, solution and enterprise architects, to develop, analyze, split, and realize the implementation of enablers. Participate in project planning, system and solution demos, and retrospective workshops. Understand technical characteristics of and assist with architectural integration of external components, systems, and platforms. Design, develop, deploy, and support large scale distributed systems. Utilize Core Java in a distributed environment. Built fault tolerance and failover patterns into Distributed Systems. Work on performance and optimization in a large distributed system environment. Utilize Rest API's, Java Servlets, MySQL databases, and Jetty Web Server. Work with team members to develop enhancements, address compliance/security issues, and support clients using the using the applications supported by the team.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, or Electrical Engineering and 3 years of experience in the job offered or 3 years of experience in a related occupation designing, developing, deploying, and supporting large scale distributed systems; utilizing Core Java in a distributed environment; building fault tolerance and failover patterns into Distributed Systems; working on performance and optimization in a large distributed system environment; utilizing Rest API's, Java Servlets, MySQL databases, and Jetty Web Server.
