Job Summary
The Marketing Automation Specialist will be responsible for leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design, implement, and optimize email marketing campaigns. This role focuses on creating automated triggers and flows, managing audience segmentation, and delivering actionable reporting and analytics to enhance channel performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Development and Execution: Design, build, and deploy email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including automated triggers and customer journey flows for personalized communications.

  • Audience Segmentation: Create and manage customer segments based on behavior, demographics, and preferences to ensure targeted campaigns.

  • Reporting and Analytics: Monitor and analyze email channel performance (open rates, click-through rates, conversions, etc.) and provide insights to optimize ROI.

  • Optimization and Testing: Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to refine content, subject lines, and send times.

  • Data Management: Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR).

  • Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, product, and IT teams to align email marketing strategies with business objectives.

  • Platform Expertise: Stay current with Salesforce Marketing Cloud features, best practices, and trends.

Qualifications

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years in marketing automation, with expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, etc.).

    • Proven ability to build/manage automated triggers, journeys, and complex workflows.

    • Strong audience segmentation and data management experience.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including AMPscript, SQL, and data extensions.

    • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email customization.

    • Experience with reporting tools/analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Marketing Cloud reporting).

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to turn data into actionable recommendations.

  • Communication: Strong written/verbal skills and ability to collaborate effectively.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred. Salesforce Marketing Cloud certifications a plus.

  • Other: Detail-oriented, self-motivated, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and knowledgeable of compliance standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with additional platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo).

  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce Sales Cloud) and integrations.

  • Understanding of promotional products or B2B marketing is a plus.
