Title : Product Owner - Ecommerce and Growth
Location : Remote (Can be based in US or Canada) , needs to overlap with U.S. Central Time.
Duration : 3-6 Months (Contract to Hire)
Role Overview:
You're leading the go-to-market strategy for a new consumer merchandise initiative, helping decide whether the company should sell through marketplaces (like Amazon), direct-to-consumer (DTC) platforms (like Shopify), or a mix of both.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compare & choose the best selling model (Marketplace vs. DTC vs. Hybrid).
- Create the advertising & customer acquisition plan (across retail media, paid social/search, affiliates, email/SMS, etc.).
- Evaluate e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, BigCommerce) and tools for order management, pre-orders, bundling, etc.
- Define KPIs (like CAC, ROAS, conversion, repeat purchase) and build dashboards.
- Recommend the best path forward with a pilot-to-scale roadmap and present to leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Creative, Tech, Finance, Supply Chain, etc.
Ideal Background:
- 7 10+ years in e-commerce or growth product roles.
- Experience launching both Marketplace and DTC programs.
- Familiar with tools like Shopify, BigCommerce, Amazon Ads, Meta, TikTok Ads, GA4, and attribution strategies.
- Confident working across marketing, tech, finance, and supply chain.
