Job Description
ECS is seeking a Battle Command System Specialist to provide on-site support to the Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Directorate of Simulation (DOS) at Fort Novosel, AL .
The DOS supports and enables Initial Military Training and Professional Military Education training and education efforts which utilize DOS' Live Virtual Constructive Gaming (LVCG) simulation capabilities and infrastructure. The DOS is responsible for the administration, development, and technical integration of Models and Simulations (M&S) and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) to create the operational environment in the Live Virtual Constructive Gaming (LVC-G) simulation domains.

ECS is seeking a Battle Command System Specialist to provide on-site support to the Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Directorate of Simulation (DOS) at Fort Novosel, AL .
The DOS supports and enables Initial Military Training and Professional Military Education training and education efforts which utilize DOS' Live Virtual Constructive Gaming (LVCG) simulation capabilities and infrastructure. The DOS is responsible for the administration, development, and technical integration of Models and Simulations (M&S) and Training Aids, Devices, Simulators and Simulations (TADSS) to create the operational environment in the Live Virtual Constructive Gaming (LVC-G) simulation domains.
Some of the tasks include but not limited to the following:
- Support the simulation/stimulation systems, which shall be used to create the training and experimentation federation for DOS. In this capacity the contractor shall interface directly with other Government and other contractor personnel.
- Perform network support, maintenance, and upgrades of digital Command Post (CP) systems, SAF stations, Stealth stations, and other simulation assets.
- Provide on-site and off-site technical support of Initial Military Training (IMT), Professional Military Education (PME) training events, and Live Virtual Constructive and Gaming (LVC-G) training events as required by the DOS Simulation Integration Division and Mission Command Integration Division.
- Responsible for transporting all Government-Furnished Items (GFI) between Government sites and the contractor's place of performance.
- Support the Directorate of Simulation Virtual Battlespace (VBS) gaming training events.
- Must understand basic administrator functions of Windows Operating Systems (or any future Windows Operating Systems approved and utilized by the Department of Defense), including firewall exceptions.
- Oversee the execution of the VBS network-based scenarios as needed and must be able to create and maintain VBS stand-alone and network training scenarios as required.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience
- An active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain
- Security Plus Certification
- Experience with systems administration of computer systems using Microsoft products
- Experience with Unix/Linux System Administration
- Experience with network configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring and support
- E xperience with the integration, operation, and implementation of systems
Desired Skills

- Experience with submitting and maintaining Army Regulation 25-2 (AR25-2) Network Accreditation, Authority to Operate, and Risk Management Framework requirements.
