Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Research Associate for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Los Angeles, CA .

Responsibilities :
Serve as a research associate for the Autism Intervention Research Network on Physical Health (AIR-P). The purpose of the AIR-P is to establish and maintain an interdisciplinary, multicenter research platform for scientific collaboration and infrastructure building. The Research Network will provide national leadership in research to advance the evidence base on effective interventions for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and other developmental disabilities (ASD/DD), with a focus on addressing physical health and well-being across the lifespan.Support and carry out a range of research-related duties, including supporting recruitment and enrollment efforts; conducting surveys and interviews; implementing interventions and programs in accordance with research programming; carrying out project coordination tasks; and fulfilling other administrative duties. Roles and responsibilities will entail a combination of administrative and research activities.

Required Skills:
  • Grants management experience. Specifically looking for a candidate with experience awarding, distributing, and keeping grantees accountable. Maintaining a grant program and its budget is also okay.
  • Experience in Community Based Participatory Research or with the development of Community Advisory Boards
  • Demonstrated experience/interest in coordinating research studies (recruitment screenings, consents, IRB applications)
  • Experience working with big datasets (e.g., experience with STATA, R, or Python)
  • PhD candidate or Master's level candidate with at least 5 years of research experience, preferably related to disability/health equity/public health research

Preferred Skills:
  • Demonstrated experience/interest and/or commitment to autism research
