A globally recognized automotive manufacturer known for shaping the future of mobility is seeking a Senior Controls & Automation Engineer to support advanced assembly and machining operations. - Work Arrangement: 100% on-site
- Pay Rate: $46.06 per hour

Daily Tasks
- Support and improve assembly and machining controls architectures across automated manufacturing systems
- Program, troubleshoot, and optimize Siemens PLC, CNC, and motion control systems
- Diagnose and resolve automation issues involving PLCs, CNCs, robotics, vision systems, and integrated equipment
- Collaborate on machining cell integration, including CNC controls, gantries, RFID systems, and auxiliary equipment
- Interpret and modify core controls specifications from early cost studies through launch
- Design, read, and update electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics
- Apply international electrical and safety standards while supporting risk assessments and integrated safety processes
- Work with manufacturing IT and standard footprint applications to support plant systems and data flow
- Contribute to program delivery milestones, ensuring controls readiness and launch success
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience
- Strong foundation in controls engineering with the ability to quickly learn and apply new systems
- Hands-on experience with PLC and/or CNC controls in assembly or machining environments
- Proficiency in programming, troubleshooting, and system integration
- Ability to read and develop electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic prints
- Understanding of communication networks and fieldbus protocols
- Familiarity with international electrical and safety standards (UL, ISO, IEC)
- Strong programming, technical writing, and program management skills
