Position: Functional Lead

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Duration: 12 Months

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project sponsors to understand information flow and content needs; facilitate requirement gathering sessions.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements, including detailed user stories.
  • Apply knowledge of Commercial Underwriting principles and procedures to support business objectives.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets using appropriate software tools and techniques.
  • Lead resolution efforts for complex issues, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
  • Demonstrate accountability by consistently honoring commitments and taking ownership of deliverables.
  • Foster collaboration across diverse teams, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Adapt to evolving business environments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations to stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized documentation and communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in business analysis, preferably within underwriting or insurance domains.
  • Strong understanding of underwriting management systems and workflows.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong presentation skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
