Employment Type: Contract to Hire (Conversion after 6 months)

Work Location: Anywhere in USA (Working in EST Time Zone)

Work Mode: Remote, with travel for 1 week twice per quarter to customer location

About the Role

We are seeking a Customer Engagement Manager for a strategic, mid-leadership role focused on orchestrating enterprise-level cloud migration and portfolio management initiatives. This role will oversee multiple complex migration projects across strategic customer accounts, ensuring technical solutions align with business objectives while driving successful cloud transformation outcomes.

The ideal candidate will combine program management excellence, strong technical acumen, and exceptional stakeholder engagement skills to lead large-scale cloud modernization programs.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Program Management

  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent cloud migration projects across enterprise accounts.
  • Develop portfolio-level roadmaps and migration strategies, balancing resources effectively.
  • Standardize processes, templates, and governance frameworks for consistent execution.
  • Identify cross-project dependencies and manage critical paths to ensure on-time delivery.

Strategic Advisory

  • Provide consultative guidance on modernization and cloud adoption frameworks.
  • Align migration strategies with clients' business and digital transformation goals.
  • Build enterprise-scale business cases and ROI models for cloud migration.
  • Identify innovation opportunities and drive continuous improvement across engagements.

Technical Leadership

  • Collaborate with architects and technical teams to assess application landscapes and dependencies.
  • Support the design of reusable migration patterns and technical approaches.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms for stakeholders.
  • Stay current on cloud technologies, enterprise architecture frameworks, and migration best practices.

Analytical & Decision-Making

  • Use quantitative methods to assess migration complexity, cost, and effort.
  • Prioritize migration waves using data-driven decision matrices.
  • Develop comprehensive TCO/ROI analyses to support migration recommendations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 14 16 years of IT experience, with 7+ years in Program Management and 14+ years in IT Infrastructure.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale cloud migration programs.
  • Expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and security principles.
  • Strong familiarity with Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework.
  • Experience with Migration, Modernization, and DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements for cloud computing.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Trello) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
  • Cloud platform expertise (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) and architecture understanding.
  • Preferred Certifications: PgMP or PMP, AWS Solutions Architect (Pro/Associate), Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Platform Professional Cloud Architect.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
