Application Production Support Analyst Kondor
Location: Montreal (Hybrid 60% on-site, mandatory presence on Mondays and Fridays)

About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Application Production Support Analyst to join our dynamic team in Montreal. In this role, you will ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical trading applications, particularly Kondor. You will collaborate closely with end users, IT teams, and business stakeholders to resolve incidents, manage change requests, and enhance the system's functionality.
This position operates under the Follow-the-Sun support model, requiring flexible availability, including occasional weekend work and on-call rotations.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support & Incident Management
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for trading applications, ensuring system reliability and availability.
- Proactively monitor production activities and respond to system alerts.
- Analyze, diagnose, and resolve technical issues, escalating to Level 3 support when necessary.
- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot system defects and implement fixes.
- Maintain detailed incident logs and work on reducing recurring issues.
User Support & Communication
- Serve as the primary point of contact for traders, risk managers, and other end users.
- Assist users with application-related queries and ensure smooth operations.
- Provide functional support, including user setup and configuration.
- Effectively communicate issue resolutions and system updates to stakeholders.
Change & Release Management
- Oversee changes to the production environment, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Conduct testing and deployment of system updates and enhancements.
- Collaborate with development teams to prioritize releases and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with corporate IT policies and change management procedures.
System Monitoring & Automation
- Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Kibana) to track system performance.
- Develop and optimize scripts (e.g., Shell, PowerShell) for automated monitoring and issue resolution.
- Manage scheduling tasks using tools like Autosys.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incident trends, and key issues.
- Participate in project planning to ensure the support team is prepared for upcoming system changes.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience in application support, preferably in a financial or banking environment.
Proven experience with trading systems and financial applications.
Strong knowledge of Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets, Fixed Income, and IRS products.
Hands-on experience with databases (Sybase, MS SQL, NoSQL).
Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, with expertise in command-line operations.
Experience in scripting (e.g., Shell, PowerShell).
Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys preferred).
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Kibana preferred).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical teams and end users.

Work Conditions
- Work schedule: 7:30 AM 7:30 PM (rotating shifts: morning, standard, and evening).
- Hybrid work model: 60% on-site in Montreal, with mandatory attendance on Mondays and Fridays.
- Weekend and after-hours support required occasionally.
- On-call rotations may be necessary.
