Top Skills:
- 2 years experience in field network testing, mobile QA, or telecom engineering.
- Coding experience (Python, SQL) is beneficial

Summary:
The main function of a Mobile Field Network Tester is to verify and validate mobile device and network performance in live 4G/5G environments. This role focuses on testing wireless connectivity, call processing, and data throughput across different network configurations and geographic areas. The tester is responsible for executing drive tests, analyzing logs, and performing detailed analysis of RAN (Radio Access Network) and air interface protocols to ensure reliable mobile device operation and optimal user experience.
Work must be performed with strict adherence to safety protocols and company field operation guidelines.
- Job Responsibilities:
Analyze customer and project requirements, converting into system/field test requirements.
Conduct field and lab testing for mobile devices and network features on 4G/5G, VoLTE, and NR technologies.
Aid in product and feature performance analysis, including evaluation of new software and firmware releases.
Capture, analyze, and troubleshoot issues from customer labs, field sites, and live network environments.
Perform drive tests to evaluate coverage, throughput, latency, mobility, and call performance under various conditions.
Review and recommend improvements to RAN network performance by evaluating and trending key KPIs; perform trials and provide optimization guidelines.
Document test results, prepare reports using tools such as QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, or Nemo.
Provide expert technical feedback during pre-sales or technical evaluation phases to support solution proposals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, carrier partners, and field engineers to ensure issue resolution.
Develop and implement solutions for field network or device-related problems.
Follow safety procedures when operating vehicles and field testing equipment, ensuring compliance with all corporate and local regulations.

Ability to work independently, manage one s time, adapt in a fast-paced testing environment.
Solid understanding of end-to-end LTE/NR network architecture, including RAN, Core, and IMS.
Proficiency in 4G/5G air interface protocols, signaling, and call processing.
Hands-on experience with field test tools (e.g., QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, Nemo, or similar).
Familiarity with analyzing KPIs such as RSRP, SINR, CQI, and throughput.
Strong commitment to safety awareness and responsible equipment handling during field activities.
