Job Details

Title: Senior SAP Program Manager

Location: Newark, NJ (Hybrid. 2 -3 days/week in office)

We are looking for a Senior Program Manager with extensive experience in SAP to lead strategic initiatives by delivering end-to-end Portfolio, Program, and Project Management services. The candidate will guide project teams, oversee budgets and resources, and ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for both Program Management and Project Management.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery including scope, planning, scheduling, resource coordination, risks, and issues.
  • Lead stakeholder communication, engagement, and alignment across business and technical teams.
  • Guide and support project managers on PMO processes, governance, and best practices.
  • Follow hybrid (Waterfall & Agile) project management practices.
  • Perform Scrum Master responsibilities for assigned teams.
  • Oversee technical delivery, including budget tracking, contract management, and vendor coordination.
  • Collaborate with Global PMO to ensure release/phase/sprint objectives, metrics, and milestones are met.
  • Provide program-level reporting, status updates, dashboards, and risk/issue analysis to leadership.
  • Develop and maintain implementation roadmaps, highlighting timelines, risks, resources, and progress indicators.
  • Maintain up-to-date RAID logs, change logs, action items, and deliverable tracking.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of experience in Project/Program Management, preferably in transformation or technical delivery programs.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience in SAP Program Management. Manage SAP S/4 upgrade Program.
  • Must have hybrid (Waterfall & Agile) project management and Scrum Master experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO frameworks, governance models, and SDLC/Agile methodologies.
  • Hands-on in facilitating PMO risk and review meetings, ensuring all meeting outputs, action plans, and follow-ups are thoroughly documented and executed.
  • Strong expertise in Budget Management, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Proven expertise in contract/vendor management, and resource planning.
  • Ability to manage complex multi-phase releases, sprints, and global delivery coordination.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk management capabilities.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, capable of influencing across teams and leadership levels.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, MS Project, Confluence, or equivalent).
  • PMP/Agile certification preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, multi-region, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong facilitation skills, including running stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, risk meetings, and leadership updates.
  • Proactive leadership and team motivation skills, fostering accountability and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
