Job Details

Senior Field Deployment Technician

Join our team as a Senior Microsoft Windows Field Deployment Technician and play a critical role in supporting VA s EHR deployment and training project. You will work closely with a team of onsite technicians to deploy, image, and set up equipment across multiple locations, ensuring seamless training experiences for medical professionals. With a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise, this is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and skilled individual to make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Deploy, image, and set up equipment (PCs, Laptops, Docking Stations, Monitors, Printers, Scanners, and Network Connections) across multiple locations
  • Unbox, set up, install, configure, remove equipment, and re-pack hardware for shipment
  • Setup equipment at various training sites, verifying each computer has the most current VA computer image
  • Configure network connectivity in the training room and computer peripherals at each training seat
  • Manage inventory and network connectivity at each training site and ensure connectivity during all training sessions

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in imaging, installing computer equipment, and managing teams of technical staff
  • Ability to unpack/re-pack, move, and install pallets of IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Personal transportation available during work hours
  • Experience with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, system imaging, and hardware break-fix support
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information System, Information Technology, or Equivalent, or 13 total years of experience in lieu of a degree

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with the ServiceNow ticketing system
  • VA Public Trust clearance
  • Experience with Microsoft windows desktop deployments
  • Experience as IT helpdesk Tier 1 or 2
