Overview

We are looking for Azure Networking Operations Architect to join our cloud infrastructure team. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our Azure networking environment. You will manage and optimize networking services, troubleshoot complex network issues, and collaborate with security and cloud engineering teams to enhance our cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Network Operations & Troubleshooting: Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot Azure networking services, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  • Cloud Network Architecture: Design, implement, and optimize Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and Load Balancers to support scalable and secure workloads.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement Azure Firewall, NSGs, ASGs, DDoS Protection, and Private Link to enhance cloud network security.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain network automation scripts and templates using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Performance & Cost Optimization: Optimize network performance, latency, and cost efficiency through monitoring and best practices.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Utilize Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher to proactively detect and resolve network issues.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with security, cloud engineering, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless network operations.
  • Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews to improve reliability and response times.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $76,400 - $127,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 8% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in cloud networking, with a strong focus on Azure networking services.
  • Deep expertise in Azure Virtual Networks (VNets), ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, Load Balancers, and Azure Firewall.
  • Strong knowledge of network security best practices, including NSGs, ASGs, and Private Link.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) for network automation.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, Azure Network Watcher, Log Analytics).
  • Strong understanding of DNS, DHCP, routing, BGP, NAT, and hybrid cloud networking.
  • Experience integrating on-premises networks with Azure via ExpressRoute and VPNs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment with a focus on incident management and problem resolution.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Azure certifications (AZ-700: Azure Network Engineer Associate, AZ-104, or AZ-305).
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud networking (AWS, Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with Zero Trust Networking, SASE, or SD-WAN solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native security solutions (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Sentinel).
