Sr. Systems Engineer

Work Location: 100% Remote

Hours: Standard hours, no OT requirements. Daily schedule is 9am-5pm candidate local time as long as they are starting by 10AM EST.

Position Purpose:

• Manages computer systems and networks.
• Manages vendor evaluations, modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages, and prepares technical documentation for telecommunications, network, and system software applications.

Typical Day in the Role:

• This person will code and deploy Service Now update sets that are related to automation in our current custom/scoped application.
• They will work with my core Technical Process Enablement team which consists of the product side and developer side and be mostly overseen by the Lead Developer.
• All work is performed remote.
• ITIL Service Design is a centralized unit in Centene, where in others the practice is embedded into Solution Delivery. The work this person will do enables standardization, policy/standards reinforcement, and provides compliant pathways for all users. With non-IT business users creating Business Managed Applications ingested by this process, its imperative that we do the automation work necessary to create the happy path accelerating time to market in a secure and sustainable way.

• Ability to partner and offer ways to accelerate, improve quality of, and conceptualize a future state where the custom/scoped application is integrated with other Service Now and Non-Service Now application.

TOP 3 REQUIREMENTS:

Senior level Service Now development

Experience in developing or modifying Service Now custom/scoped applications

Integrations between Service Now and other applications

• A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science). Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
• Requires 4 - 6 years of related experience.
• 4-6 years experience with listed requirements and 4-6 years experience in developing or modifying Service Now custom/scoped applications.
• Experience with Integrations between Service Now and other applications

Preferred:

• Master's Degree Computer science, information systems, or similar field preferred
• CISSP Certified Information Systems Security Professional preferred
• Experience with Cyber Security
• Experience with Other: PowerShell and Endpoint Engineering, network protocols
• ITIL, ITSM, IT4IT, Scrum Agile
• Service Now Platform Analytics development experience
