Role: Senior Director, Software Engineering
Location: Denver, CO (DTC area) | Initially onsite, then hybrid
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $150K-$190K base + 20% bonus


Position Summary
We're looking for a seasoned engineering leader to guide multiple software development teams and shape the future of digital platforms. This individual will be responsible for setting technical direction, optimizing team performance, and ensuring the delivery of modern, high-quality software products-particularly within the digital commerce space. The right candidate brings deep experience in building scalable, customer-facing solutions and leading agile engineering organizations.


Key Responsibilities



  • Define and execute technical strategies that support scalable and innovative digital experiences

  • Lead and manage multiple engineering teams focused on full-stack development, including Angular and .NET technologies

  • Drive efficient software design, architecture, coding standards, and deployment practices

  • Partner closely with product and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences

  • Oversee resource planning, departmental budgets, and project prioritization

  • Mentor engineering managers and developers to promote continuous improvement and career development

  • Implement DevOps best practices, security standards, and performance optimization across platforms

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with business goals and timelines

  • Monitor key performance indicators to assess delivery, quality, and user impact

  • Stay current on evolving tech trends, especially in ecommerce and front-end frameworks


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree a plus

  • 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in senior leadership

  • Proven success in managing global, distributed digital teams

  • Strong expertise in Angular, .NET, Azure cloud infrastructure, and microservices architecture

  • Background in digital commerce or experience supporting high-traffic customer-facing platforms

  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines

  • Certified Scrum Master or related credentials preferred

  • Skilled in driving technical excellence while balancing strategy and execution
