World Wide Technology is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer. This role is part of WWT s Strategic Resourcing services and is a contract role. The candidate will be supporting a WWT customer and will be employed by one of WWT s preferred partners. The partner will provide full compensation and benefit information prior to employment with the partner.

Rate/Salary: A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 hourly on W2 hourly. Actual pay will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs, and will be set by your employer. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in base pay.

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer with a focus on compute infrastructure to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation and a deep understanding of compute platforms, specifically Cisco UCS-C and Nutanix hardware. This role involves ensuring the operational stability of applications running on our compute platforms through rigorous testing and validation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Focus on the management and optimization of compute infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement automation strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Work with Cisco UCS-C and Nutanix hardware to support and maintain compute environments.
  • Test and validate the operational stability of applications running on compute platforms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and performance of compute resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to compute infrastructure and applications.
  • Continuously monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role with a focus on compute infrastructure.
  • Strong automation skills, with experience in scripting and using automation tools.
  • Familiarity with Cisco UCS-C and Nutanix hardware (excluding AHV).
  • Experience in testing and validating application stability on compute platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey technical information.
