Job Details

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and maintain Cisco Nexus switches, including models like Nexus 9000, 7000, 5000, and 2000 series.
  • Implement and manage data center networking technologies such as VPC, VXLAN, EVPN, and FabricPath.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues related to Nexus switching and routing environments.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security across the data center network infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with system, storage, and application teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Document network designs, diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest Nexus software releases, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in network migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus switches in enterprise data center environments.
  • Strong knowledge of VPC, VXLAN/EVPN, Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies.
  • Familiarity with Cisco NX-OS CLI and feature sets.
  • Solid understanding of core routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and multicast.
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Cisco certifications such as CCNP Data Center or CCIE Data Center are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities.
