Job Details

Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Program Manager with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX, and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:
  • Maximize the value for a product
  • Define the vision and roadmap for the product, define and prioritize stories in the product backlog, and articulate this to both stakeholders and the development team
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment
  • Possess a working knowledge of the product, and basic understanding of the business or technology domain
  • With some guidance, create the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
  • Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
  • Create and prioritize work for one team
  • Learn to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • With some guidance, create and prioritize stories in the product backlog
  • Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints
  • Review and accept stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements
  • Work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define business requirements and associated epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Define and accept the value delivered by the team
  • Create, prioritize and maintain the team's backlog for assigned products in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
  • Work with the team, Scrum Master, and other Product Owners to coordinate external team dependencies
  • Optimize the value of the work the team performs
  • Act as the primary contact for questions about the product
  • Act as the primary contact for development work being performed by the team
  • Work with key stakeholders to define and ensure the success of product releases
  • Prepare and participate in PI Planning, Maintaining Team Backlog, Iteration Planning, Accepting Stories, understand enabler work, participate in team demo and retro's
  • Own/Drive Team Backlogs and Iterations, Define/Accept Iterations and User Stories

Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience as a Product Owner for agile teams
  • 2+ years' experience with JIRA
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability
  • Highly motivated self-starter able to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles
  • Agile tools (Jira)
  • Agile Scrum Master
  • Agile tools (Bitbucket)

Desired skills:
  • Certified Agile Product Owner
  • SAFe Certified
  • Financial institution experience
  • Confluence

Pay Range: $52.54-$60.54
