We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented early career professional to join our Transportation team in our Hartford, CT office beginning in December-an ideal opportunity for December 2025 graduates!

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze current and projected traffic conditions to identify areas of improvement and plan effective solutions.
  • Conduct detailed studies to assess the impact of proposed developments on traffic patterns.
  • Design and draft highway alignment layouts.
  • Measure and analyze vehicular speeds to evaluate roadway safety and functionality.
  • Design roadways that accommodate all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, and transit riders.
  • Prepare and submit applications for highway permits in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Develop and analyze transportation models for corridors to evaluate capacity, traffic flow, and potential improvements.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for transportation and highway construction projects.
  • Collaborating with team to support services for large, multi-disciplinary civil/site projects.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT registration preferred
  • Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Synchro preferred
  • Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus
  • Experience with MassDOT
