Job Title: Desktop Support Engineer (Contract)
Location: Dallas, TX 75201
Pay Range: $27-$33/hour
Work Type: On-site, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM (37.5 hours/week)
Start Date: June 15, 2025
Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension or conversion to full-time)
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer III to provide high-level technical support in a fast-paced, professional environment. This role involves supporting end-users, maintaining and configuring hardware/software, and serving as an escalation point for complex technical issues. You'll also contribute to IT projects aligned with departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond to and resolve user issues via ITSM tools and management requests.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Support Apple devices and mobile device management (MDM) systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory of IT equipment.
- Mentor junior support staff and handle escalated tickets.
- Participate in IT projects and ensure endpoint security compliance.
- Provide AV and conference room support.
- Travel to other offices and work outside standard hours as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
- 4-7 years of desktop support experience in a corporate/professional setting.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10, Microsoft Office, and hardware.
- Experience with MDM tools (e.g., Intune), AV equipment, and remote support tools.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Active Directory, SCCM, TCP/IP, and video conferencing systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, especially in high-pressure environments.
- Experience supporting executives or senior leadership is a plus.
- Legal industry experience and familiarity with tools like iManage are preferred.
- Must be willing to submit to pre-employment background screening.
Education & Certifications
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- A+ certification required.
- ITIL v3 Foundation certification preferred.
Work Environment
- On-site role in a high-pressure legal office with approximately 46 employees.
- You'll be one of two desktop support technicians in the Dallas office.
