Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer II to join our Business Systems team in a direct hire (W2) role. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape and optimize a newly implemented Salesforce environment within a growing organization. The ideal candidate will have deep platform knowledge, strong hands-on development experience, and a passion for building scalable, business-focused solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with internal teams to gather requirements and design scalable solutions that align with business objectives and Salesforce best practices.
- Take ownership of key development efforts using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and integrations with third-party tools.
- Lead system enhancements, bug resolution, and proactive platform optimization to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity.
- Maintain detailed technical and user documentation, including process flows and training materials, to support end users and system knowledge.
- Mentor junior Salesforce developers by sharing best practices and providing guidance on solution design and implementation.
- Manage Salesforce support requests through a ticketing system, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of user issues.
- Collaborate on platform strategy, roadmap planning, and new initiatives across Salesforce and other integrated business systems.
- Implement and maintain Salesforce modules and related tools including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and B2B commerce solutions.
- Execute custom development and configurations including custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and user management.
- Stay up to date on Salesforce platform updates, feature releases, and industry trends to recommend relevant enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
- Salesforce Administrator and Platform Developer I certifications (required); additional Salesforce certifications are a plus.
- At least 5 years of experience developing and maintaining Salesforce environments, including custom development and administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, REST/SOAP APIs, and legacy Visualforce components.
- Experience working with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud; knowledge of e-commerce and online payment integrations is a plus.
- Advanced configuration skills: custom objects, page layouts, security controls, reports, dashboards, roles/profiles.
- Proven ability to design and deploy business-focused technical solutions with scalability, usability, and security in mind.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while engaging with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with data lakes and consolidated reporting environments is a bonus.
- Project coordination or system implementation experience is helpful.
