Salary: $175,000-$2250,000 plus discretionary bonus

This role must sit in the firms Chicago office working onsite 4 days, 1 day remote each week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Continuously analyze, optimize, and fine-tune a high-performance, low-latency trading environment.
- Design, implement, and maintain clean, efficient, and reusable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders and technologists, to develop sustainable and scalable solutions.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of exchange infrastructure and communication protocols.
- Independently investigate and resolve complex technical issues to guide strategic engineering decisions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: distributed systems, networking, operating systems, or low-latency environments.
- Strong understanding of Linux internals, including memory management, networking, and file I/O; familiarity with eBPF is a plus.
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, Multicast); experience with kernel bypass technologies is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Python and C++, with a strong foundation in object-oriented programming.
