Job Title: AWS Solutions Architect

Location: Remote ( anywhere in US and need to support during EST/CST hours )

Duration: 12+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

Architect & Design

• Design secure, high-availability, and scalable AWS architectures for enterprise workloads.
• Develop infrastructure blueprints using services such as VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, API Gateway, CloudFront, WAF, Route53, etc.
• Create reference architectures, design patterns, and reusable components for cloud adoption.

Implementation & Delivery

• Lead implementation using Terraform / CloudFormation / CDK.
• Guide teams through migrations, modernization, and containerization (EKS, ECS, Lambda).
• Optimize architectures for performance, cost, security, and reliability.

Governance & Security

• Implement security best practices using IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards (CIS, ISO, PCI-DSS, HIPAA, etc.).
• Enforce tagging, account structure, and IAM role governance across AWS Organizations.

Operations & Reliability

• Establish monitoring, logging, and automation using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and EventBridge.
• Implement HA/DR strategies (Multi-AZ, Multi-Region, Backup & Restore, Route53 failover).
• Support FinOps by identifying cost-optimization opportunities.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with application, DevOps, and security teams to deliver end-to-end cloud solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, PoCs, and architectural reviews with customers or internal stakeholders.
• Mentor junior engineers and solution architects.

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience: 10+ years in IT infrastructure or cloud architecture; 5+ years with AWS.

Expertise in AWS Services:

• Core: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, Route53, ELB, EBS, EFS.
• Networking: Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, PrivateLink, VPN.
• Containers: EKS, ECS, Fargate.
• Serverless: Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions.
• Security: IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, GuardDuty, CloudTrail.
• Monitoring: CloudWatch, X-Ray, Config, Security Hub.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK (preferred Terraform).
• DevOps Tooling: CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Automation & Scripting: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Architecture Domains: Well-Architected Framework, Landing Zone, Control Tower, Multi-account governance.
• Networking Knowledge: BGP, VPN, DNS, routing, CIDR planning.
• Databases: RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and caching strategies (ElastiCache, Redis).
• Strong understanding of cloud security, resilience, and cost optimization strategies.

Preferred / Nice to Have:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate / Professional (required).
• Experience leading enterprise migration projects or hybrid architectures (on-prem + AWS).
• Exposure to Kubernetes operations, GitOps, or Infrastructure Pipelines.
• Knowledge of network security, zero-trust, and private connectivity (Direct Connect).

Typical Deliverables

• Cloud architecture design documents and HLD/LLD diagrams.
• Terraform modules and reusable IaC templates.
• Security and compliance reports (CIS, Well-Architected Review).
• Migration runbooks and cost optimization recommendations.
• Operational dashboards and automation scripts.
