Job Details

Summary

  • The PACS & Imaging Engineer will be responsible for providing oversight, validation, and support for all PACS platforms and advanced imaging applications during a large-scale migration and consolidation initiative.
  • This role ensures that configurations, customizations, and integrations across multiple sites and modalities are effectively validated and optimized to support seamless clinical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical oversight and validation for the migration and consolidation of multiple PACS platforms, including Merge PACS, Change Healthcare PACS, IntelliSpace PACS, Centricity PACS, Synapse, and related systems.
  • Support advanced imaging and visualization applications such as Barco Dynacad, TeraRecon, Rapid AI, EchoPAC, Profound AI, Inteleviewer, and other specialty imaging tools.
  • Collaborate with OEM vendors and internal teams to validate application configurations, workflow customizations, and integration readiness.
  • Assist with workflow testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and post-migration stabilization activities.
  • Coordinate with integration engineers to validate seamless interoperability with EMR platforms and enterprise systems.
  • Document configuration changes, migration steps, and technical workflows for support and knowledge transfer purposes.
  • Participate in go-live cutovers, troubleshoot escalated issues, and ensure rapid resolution of integration or configuration problems.
  • Engage with clinical stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure optimized workflows for clinical staff..

Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of experience in PACS administration, imaging application support, or related roles within healthcare IT.
  • Strong expertise in PACS environments, including change and Merge PACS systems, including configuration, validation, and workflow optimization during large-scale migrations.
  • Hands-on experience with advanced imaging and visualization applications, including integration with PACS and EMR systems.
  • Proficient in DICOM, HL7, and related interoperability standards.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and multi-disciplinary teams during migrations and upgrades.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex imaging environments.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clinical and technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements, including HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC2.
