Position: Business Data Analyst

Job Description

• 4-6 years experience doing the following:
• Data analysis, data governance and/or business systems analysis
• Participating in and facilitating meetings for the Data Governance Council.
• Creating and utilizing data governance scorecards to support Data Governance Council discussions and decision making.
• Documenting and recording information, decisions, and recommendations made by the Data Governance Council.
• Supporting the development of the Data Governance vision and framework while remaining aligned with overall business objectives.
• Developing, documenting, and maintaining definition, production, usage, classification, and compliance rules across multiple business units to support the enterprise management of data.
• Communicating all data rules to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborating with data owners and data custodians to identify and resolve more complex data governance issues in a timely and collaborative manner.
• Supporting the analysis and documentation of data capture standards associated with new products.
• Serving as a resource to internal stakeholders on more complex Data Governance solutions which optimize client requirements and achieve desired business results.
• Communicating regularly with team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements and champion business analytics.
• Maintaining an understanding of how the data contained in various systems are utilized and marrying various aspects of the data into a usable format to support decision making.
• Escalating highly complex issues to management/Data Governance Council when necessary.
• Research and identify new structured and unstructured data and verify its quality, accuracy and reasonableness.
• Propose new solutions to improve the data and technology platform.
