Description:

Job Title: Sr. Electrical Engineer

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Duration: Permanent

Schedule: Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design and engineering for cutting-edge pharmaceutical and advanced manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will provide technical leadership, oversee design teams, perform quality reviews, and collaborate directly with clients and contractors to deliver high-quality construction documents.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering design for medium and low voltage power distribution, UPS/Generators, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, security, PA, telecom, and heat trace systems.
  • Perform power system studies including short circuit, load flow, protective coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Prepare and review construction documents, technical specifications, and bid packages.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA 70 (NEC) and other applicable codes and standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
  • Collaborate with clients, owners, and contractors during design and construction phases.
  • Utilize Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools for design and documentation.
  • Conduct quality control reviews and participate in project meetings and proposals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Indiana or ability to obtain.
  • Minimum 15 years of electrical engineering design experience for buildings.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and industrial electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in power system analysis software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Life Sciences or advanced manufacturing facility design.
  • Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software.
  • Familiarity with GMP environments and cleanroom design.
