Senior Project Controls Specialist to work at 191 Rosa Parks Street, Floor 10, Cincinnati, OH 45202 and various unanticipated worksites in U.S.

Job description:


Develop resources and load schedules to support large capital construction projects. Support and assist project engineers and construction specialists to develop project forecast cost and monitor project cost execution. Support in development and maintenance of Performance Metrics. Support project controls; lead implementation of project controls processes and best practices. Coordinate and work with the project engineers and project manager to resolve project cost related issues on their projects. Interface with Finance and other Departments to ensure timely processing of project cost in SAP. Convert financial reports and create dashboards for project controls. Facilitate weekly project schedule update meeting during execution and maintain weekly project schedule update. Generate weekly schedule reports for project team use. Roving employment; position may be located at client sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting from home office is permitted per company's telecommuting policy.

Requirements:


Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent degree based on combination of education and experience) in Construction Management or a closely related field such as Industrial Management, Civil Engineering, or Computer Science. Employer will accept foreign equivalent degrees.

Experience: In addition to degree, must have all of the following:


  • 6 + years of direct experience in engineering, procurement, and construction including project cost controls.

  • 6 + years of direct experience in project planning, scheduling, and estimating.

  • Any amount of experience with project budgeting processes and procedures, contract administration, scheduling, planning, and project management for small to large EPC projects.

  • Experience must include proficiency, as demonstrated by performance test, with Microsoft Power BI, Primavera 6 V8.3 or latest version, earned value management system (EVMS), cost performance index (CPI), schedule performance index (SPI), cost variance (CV), and schedule variance (SV) analysis calculations.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.
