Software Development Engineering - Advisor I

What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?

You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs while ensuring our technology continues to lead the market.

What you will do:

• Develop new user-facing features using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end developers.
• Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and best practices.

What you will need to have:

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
• Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
• Experience with popular React.js workflows such as Redux.
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON web tokens.
• Proficient with tools like Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
• Current Fiserv systems experience.

What would be great to have:

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic understanding of Node.js or Java.

Salary Range

$108,900.00 - $186,800.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
