Software Development Engineering - Advisor I
What does a successful Software Development Engineer do at Fiserv?
You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs while ensuring our technology continues to lead the market.
What you will do:
- Develop new user-facing features using React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
- Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end developers.
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code.
- Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
- Debug and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and best practices.
What you will need to have:
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles.
- Experience with popular React.js workflows such as Redux.
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON web tokens.
- Proficient with tools like Webpack, Babel, NPM/Yarn.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience.
- Current Fiserv systems experience.
What would be great to have:
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic understanding of Node.js or Java.
