Job Details
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience providing engineering support for legacy and current versions of Citrix products.
- 5+years of experience with BS degree or a combination of years of experience and education
- Progressive roles from Administrator to Sr. Engineer
- Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops v7.15 and later
- Citrix Provisioning Services (PVS) and Machine Creation Services (MCS)
- Citrix Cloud Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD)
- Citrix Netscaler / ADC / VPX
- Citrix Workspace Environment Management (WEM)
- Citrix App Layering
- Liquidware Profile Unity
- Hyper V, VMWare VDI (Microsoft or Citrix NetScalers / ADCs)
- TS/SCI Security Clearance Required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience managing and administering Windows Server clustering
- Experience with Infrastructure as code technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, etc.
- System Center Virtual Machine Manager/Vmware Vcenter 6.7
- Active Directory/ Group Policies
- Home Directory and Profile Management Support Services
- Desktop Software Provisioning and Support Services

Certain states and localities require employers to post a reasonable estimate of salary range. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $105,000. to $115,000. annually. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base pay.

What will you be doing?
As a Virtual Desktop Engineer, you will support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. This role will be the SME in troubleshooting all related performance issues across the organization. Additionally, the position will require an individual experience in system design and integration, identity life-cycle management, and process automation and improvement.
We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of designing and maintaining VDI in a large enterprise. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills who excels as an individual and among peers in a team environment. The individual should possess a passion for operational excellence and a high level of interpersonal and soft skills.
As a VDI Engineer, you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared VDI Engineer joining our team to support our intelligence customer in Springfield, VA
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In addition to architecting and designing, the VDI Engineer will provide TIER 3/4 support to system administrators in order to resolve VDI issues.
- Provide guidance on optimizing desktops for platform interoperability and act as a liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
- Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
- Maintains Advanced knowledge relative to the administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
- Operate across multiple and complex production environments with multiple stakeholders.
- Applies extensive technical expertise and has full knowledge of other related disciplines.
- Conducts trade studies and makes recommendations on solutions and "make buy" decisions.
