Job Description

ECS is seeking a Marketing Copywriter to work remotely .

As a marketing writer, you will engage our community by crafting content to showcase ECS' technical expertise, innovative solutions, and corporate culture. You will produce marketing copy for articles, webpages, social media, digital ads, email campaigns, video scripts, and more. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team led by the VP of marketing and communications, you will apply your writing, editing, research, and interviewing skills to create content tailored for audiences ranging from technical engineers to C-level executives. In this role, you will work with division leaders and subject-matter experts to promote ECS' technical solutions across a variety of domains.

The ideal candidate will be familiar with information technology terminology and the cultural landscape. A strong understanding of grammar and syntax is essential, along with proven skills in clarity, word choice, and style.

Your team is made up of hard-working and talented marketers who are here to support and collaborate with you. The marcom team works remotely and in a hybrid mode. For those in the DC metro area, our office is in Fairfax, VA, where we host team events and gatherings weekly.

Responsibilities:
  • Write marketing content: long-form, short-form, social media, paid media, and more.
  • Write in different styles for various content types, goals, and audiences.
  • Collaborate with the campaign manager to develop a comprehensive full-funnel content plan and execute it by writing targeted marketing pieces.
  • Use data to establish benchmarks and gain actionable insights to improve content engagement.
  • Manage your assignments, including SME communications and oversight.
  • Manage and maintain the publishing calendar and related tasks.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000

Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communications, journalism, or similar discipline
  • 3+ years of writing experience in business-to-business and/or business-to-government advertising, PR, or marketing and communications
  • REQUIRED - Samples that demonstrate your ability to write clearly and accurately about technology, science, and other complex topics
