Senior UX Designer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Reston, VA that is seeking a Senior UX Designer.

Summary:
As part of a cross-functional hybrid team, the Senior UX Designer will work closely with other UX designers, developers, marketing managers, and researchers to design and refine digital experiences-everything from concepting, low-fidelity wireframing, and rapid prototyping, to designing high-fidelity mockups with specifications for handoff to our development partners. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for visual, branding, typography, layout, and motion design, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role may also support broader creative initiatives, including digital marketing, web publishing, advertising and production projects and tasks.

REQUIREMENTS:
* 5+ years of experience in UX and visual design, creating best-in-class digital experiences
* Expertise in designing task flows, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs for responsive web and mobile applications, applying design system guidelines when appropriate
* Strong proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator)
* Deep understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy in digital design
* Ability to translate user research, business needs, and creative direction into polished, high-quality designs
* Familiarity with user research methodologies and using analytics to inform design improvements
* Working knowledge of the latest accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and how to apply them in digital experiences
* Experience collaborating closely with developers to ensure seamless design-to-development handoff
* Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or front-end development to enhance collaboration with developers

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
