Job Title: Process Engineer
Location: Toledo, OH (Onsite 3 4 Days/Week)
Duration: 12 Months (W2 /1099 Contract Only)

Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer for a long-term contract with a leading aerospace and defense manufacturing company in Toledo, OH. This role focuses on improving manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, yield, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will serve as a key technical resource across production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams.

Note: Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be comfortable with onsite presence (3 4 days/week), potential exposure to Beryllium powder, and may be required to complete additional health screenings, including blood tests and compliance with onsite hygiene protocols (e.g., showering).

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee manufacturing processes for both new and existing products to ensure stability and continuous improvement.

• Serve as the technical point of contact for shop floor support, addressing process issues and maintaining product quality.

• Collaborate with EH&S teams to ensure safe working environments.

• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles for process optimization and issue resolution.

• Provide technical assistance to global customers as needed.

• Perform other engineering duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).

• 2 5 years of experience in a technical manufacturing environment, ideally involving metals.

• Hands-on experience in metal casting, physical metallurgy, or scrap degreasing is preferred.

• Familiarity with control charting, statistical analysis, and Six Sigma methodologies (certification is a plus).

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
