The role involves managing project work plans, minimizing risks, and collaborating with both onshore and offshore teams to drive project success using Agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, high-risk projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Budget and Schedule Oversight: Manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Scope Management: Handle day-to-day aspects of project scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives and stakeholder expectations.
Risk Mitigation: Identify, assess, and minimize project risks through proactive strategies and contingency planning.
Work Plan Development: Create and manage detailed project work plans and work breakdown structures to ensure clarity and accountability.
Team Collaboration: Manage enhancement work for offshore teams, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
Agile Transition: Collaborate with onshore Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to transition from Jira/Kanban board workflows to an Agile spreadsheet-based project management approach.
SPM Management: Utilize ServiceNow for Service Portfolio Management (SPM) to track and manage project performance and deliverables.
Qualifications
Proven experience managing complex, high-risk projects in a fast-paced environment.
Strong understanding of project budgeting, scheduling, and scope management.
Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in creating work breakdown structures and project work plans.
Experience working with offshore and onshore teams in a collaborative setting.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira, Kanban boards, and spreadsheet-based project management.
Hands-on experience with ServiceNow for SPM management.
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification is a plus.
Experience in managing enhancement projects for distributed teams.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
