We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Head of AI Strategy & Execution to lead the development and execution of our artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives. This role will define our AI roadmap, align AI capabilities with business objectives, and drive innovation to maintain a competitive edge. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AI technologies, a strong business acumen, and the ability to translate technical advancements into strategic opportunities.

Responsibilities and Impact:
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the EDOs AI & Transformation strategy in alignment with business & financial goals.
  • Identify high-impact AI opportunities across products, operations, and customer experiences.
  • Assess emerging AI trends, technologies, and competitive landscapes to inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with product, engineering, data science, and business teams to integrate AI into core offerings across SPGI
  • Work with executive leadership to prioritize AI investments and resource allocation.
  • Engage with external stakeholders (partners, vendors, academia) to foster innovation and collaboration.
Governance & Ethics
  • Establish best practices for AI model development, deployment, and monitoring.
  • Ensure ethical AI use, compliance with regulations, and mitigation of bias and risks.
  • Develop policies for data privacy, security, and responsible AI adoption.
Execution & Performance
  • Oversee AI pilot programs and scaling of successful initiatives.
  • Define KPIs to measure AI impact on business performance.
  • Drive AI adoption across the organization through training and change management.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $125,000 to $230,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
  • 10 to 15 years in AI/ML, data science, or technology strategy, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing AI strategies in enterprise settings.
  • Strong understanding of AI technologies (e.g., generative AI, NLP, computer vision) and their business applications.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with AI ethics, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Education Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or PhD) in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Financial services and has a track record of building AI solutions for internal and external use cases.
  • Background in productizing AI solutions will be an advantage
  • Background in consulting or corporate strategy with an AI focus.
  • Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cloud AI services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure).
  • Hands on experience in leveraging language models for information retrieval.
